Michael P. Malmquist DMD
 Michael P. Malmquist DMD, is a board certified Oral & Maxillofacial Surgeon with advanced training in bone regeneration, bone grafting, dental implant therapy, orthognathic surgery, facial trauma and pathology. Dr. Malmquist has a special interest in regenerative medicine and implant reconstructive surgery. He displays a constant concern for his patients matched by his continuous study of innovative treatment modalities.
Dr. Malmquist is a Diplomate of the American Board of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery, an honor bestowed only after extensive written and oral examinations. Board certification is an achievement that not all doctors attain. Board certified doctors are:

Dr. Malmquist was born and raised in Portland, Oregon. After graduating from Jesuit high school, he attended The Citadel: Military College of South Carolina where he graduated with distinct honors. He continued his education at Boston University School of Dental Medicine, graduating with a Doctor of Dental Medicine (D.M.D.) degree.
Following dental school, Dr. Malmquist continued his education/training specializing in Oral & Maxillofacial Surgery at the prestigious Baylor University Medical Center in Dallas, TX. After residency, he spent a full year with Dr. Pedro Franco in Dallas TX, specializing in implant therapy, full mouth reconstruction, orthognathic and temporomandibular joint surgery.
In 2015, Dr. Malmquist returned to Portland, Oregon to work alongside his father Dr. Jay P. Malmquist. In addition to his private practice, Dr. Malmquist has published multiple articles and chapters in peer reviewed journals and textbooks. He has lectured nationally on various topics pertaining to the specialty of Oral & Maxillofacial Surgery. He has participated in medical outreach programs to underserved communities both foreign and domestic.
Aside from many interests in Oral & Maxillofacial Surgery, Dr. Malmquist is an avid Oregon Duck and Portland Trailblazer fan. He loves spending time with his family and friends, especially his wife Ida and their daughter Mila.
