We Can Make Removing Wisdom Teeth EasierIf you need to have your wisdom teeth removed but are feeling somewhat anxious about taking the next step to get it done, we have good news! We can make the process a whole lot easier for you. By being informed about the process you can stop avoiding having it done and dealing with unnecessary pain.

Painless Procedure

Having some level of fear over dental procedures is extremely common. Having four teeth removed can seem overwhelming. Having your wisdom teeth removed is a procedure that is done day in and out all over the world. Sedation dentistry is where you receive different medications to help you relax when you normally wouldn't. There are different levels of sedation ranging from mildly sedated to complete sedation. For wisdom teeth removal, by having some general anesthesia as well as a local numbing solution, you can get the work done that you need without stress, anxiousness, or even feeling any pain at all.

Wisdom Tooth Removal

If your teeth are impacted, it almost always requires the removal of some bone and gum tissue. This makes the operation a little more intensive than just taking out teeth that are in at the correct angle. Many studies show as high as 80% of patients will have at least one impacted wisdom tooth to deal with during the surgery. Because that is usually the case, it is recommended you are fully sedated for the process.

Because sedation doesn't equal pain free, you are also given a local numbing solution injected into the area of all four teeth. The combination of sedation and numbing allows you to feel nothing and experiencing nothing other than the trip to the removal. Most people are still a little fuzzy after so it's also recommended you get a ride home.

If you have impacted teeth or your wisdom teeth are coming in. This should bring some calm to your mind. If you haven't scheduled to have your operation or would like more information. Feel free to contact us today.
