What is a full mouth reconstruction.A complete mouth restoration is when the cosmetic or the general dentist performs several procedures in a patient's mouth to change the appearance and function typically. This procedure is referred to as mouth reconstruction because it involves more than one dental procedure. These procedures include veneers, tooth reconstruction, dental crowns, dental implants, and dental filling.

The processes involved in complete mouth reconstruction procedures are deep cleanings are required to properly care for both the gums and the teeth. In extreme cases, the surgeon might be necessary to reposition the jaw in the correct position for a better smile and better functions; if crowns are placed, it can strengthen a tooth that is root canaled.

Crowns can be used to cover a natural tooth that needs to be reshaped or a badly yellowed tooth. Dental implants can be used to replace a missing tooth. It helps in solving jawbone issues in future. The dental profession first performs an x-ray and a dental check-up to determine the procedures performed on the mouth. The main goal of this process is to improve the functionality and health of the smile.

Steps taken for a full mouth reconstruction.

Mouth reconstruction is recommended for patients suffering from severe trauma and infection in the oral cavity. The first step is consulting the dentist, where the dentist asks for your health records. The dentist conducts an examination to consider the appearance of the teeth, state of the gums, bite alignment and the condition of the teeth. The dentist creates a treatment plan, and the dentist explains the dental procedures that will be conducted to correct this. The patient also presents the expected results to the dentist.
